Wendy Stapleton presents ‘The Dusty Springfield Story’ in an outstanding tribute to the songs and career of Dusty Springfield.

Dusty Springfield endured a 35 year career in music because of her unique heart breaking voice,and her unfailing belief in song writers such as Carol King, Gerry Goffin, Randy Newman, John Kander, Burt Bachrach, and Hal David just to name a few.

Wendy starred as Dusty in the original production of “I Only Want To Be With You” The Dusty Springfield Story and features fabulous musical theatre singers /dancers and musicians.

The show takes you on a colourful journey through all the hits of the 60’s 70’s 80′ that made Dusty a household name.

ABOUT WENDY STAPLETON

Trained as a youngster in classical ballet, tap, acting and singing, Wendy made her first professional appearance at the age of nine at Her Majesty’s Theatre in Noel Coward’s “Sail Away”. She then performed regularly with J.C.Williamson’s for many years combining this with weekly performances

Her singing career has also embraced theatre performances ‘I only wanna be with you – The Dusty Springfield Story’ both here and in the UK, ‘Dusty, Doris & Me’ and the acclaimed all girl show starring Wendy, Debra Byrne and Nikki Nicholls called “GIRLS GIRLS GIRLS!”

Mick created TAGG - The Alternative Gig Guide in 1979 with Helmut Katterl, the world's first real Street Magazine. He had been involved with his fathers publishing business, Toorak Times and associated publications since 1972.  Mick was also involved in Melbourne's music scene for a number of years opening venues, discovering and managing bands and providing information and support for the industry. Mick has also created a number of local festivals and is involved in not for profit and supporting local charities.
