The breakwater end of St Kilda Pier is home to a colony of 1,400 little penguins.

These penguins can be viewed by the public every night of the week.

Earthcare St Kilda are a not-for-profit organisation responsible for researching and managing the colony.

The breakwater is located at the end of the pier, just past the Kiosk.

The best viewing spots are on the boardwalk where you can see them standing on the rocks or on top of the breakwater.

The best viewing time is 30 minutes after sunset.

PLEASE respect the penguins by not taking photos with a flash and ensuring that you stick to the boardwalk and remaining at least 3 metres from them.

Visit the Facebook page for regular updates.
