The story behind it is lovely too. Madison originally wrote and recorded the track as a demo in her home studio years ago, inspired by the idea of a relationship that would make her feel more like herself rather than someone she had to change for. When she eventually brought it to Swedish producer Oliver Lundström, whose credits read like a pop A-list (James Arthur, Carly Rae Jepsen, Astrid S, TWICE, Dagny), the pair tried it a few different ways before landing on the version we’ve got now: part radio pop, part cinematic swell, all confidence.

“Your Girl is about the rush of meeting someone who makes you feel empowered to become the best version of yourself, and realising all you want is to be theirs. For me, it was almost like writing about the kind of love I hoped to attract into my life. I wanted to bottle that feeling in a way that felt playful, uplifting and unapologetically pop.”
