Lindenhurst Cabernet Sauvignon 2021 – Napa Valley – USA – $280.00

A blend of 79.2% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10.6% Merlot, 3.8% Petit Verdot, 3.5% Cabernet Franc, and 2.9% Malbec.

That, for me, makes this a Bordeaux blend and not a Cabernet Sauvignon as stated on the label.

In the glass: Impenetrable dark red all the way to the rim.

On the nose: Wafting from the glass are notes of dark blackberry and bright plum, backed by warm summer spices, with a ghost of aniseed lurking in the background.

In the mouth, I found this wine both impressive and weighty, with fine-grained tannins backing the firmness of the wine, complemented by its perfume of tobacco and lead pencil that lingered in the mouth, finishing with a slight Savoury note, making this wine immense.

As you know, immense means huge, so you probably already have a sense of the quality and enjoyment that this wine delivered with the roast beef I enjoyed for lunch.
