“Tass and her cast get so much right…Ben Prendergast is delightful…
Eva Seymour is as perfect a Sonya as you could hope to find: passionately resigned, sad-eyed, downtrodden but indestructible.”

– The Australian

“The cast is unanimously stellar…a rare combo: a superbly skilled performance that is technically accomplished, emotionally alert, intellectually and historically informed while also relevant to the now.”

– ★★★★ 1/2 The Music

“Very funny…whimsy and farce tinged with cynicism.” – Herald Sun

After 15 years of making critically acclaimed theatre for you in our little home, Red Stitch desperately needs some technical improvements! That’s why we initiated the Every Stitch Counts campaign.

When you donate to our Every Stitch Counts campaign, your gift will have 4x the power to make a difference. That’s right, four times! Some of our major donors have agreed to match every dollar you give to this campaign. Then, in turn, Creative Partnerships Australia’s Plus 1 fund will match that overall amount, up to the value of $50,000!

A big thank you to the first donor to our Every Stitch Counts Campaign, Ms Abigail King, for getting the ball rolling!

This is an incredible opportunity for you to make a big difference without a big cost. If you would like to help support us (and keep saying yes to big little theatre) please donate here.

On Monday night we were inspired by the commitment, skill & spark shown in the graduate call-back auditions here at Red Stitch! What a privilege to witness so many terrific emerging actors and wonderful to see interstate applicants as well as graduates from great Victorian schools in the mix. We’re excited to announce the newest addition to our Graduate Program next week…stay tuned!

We are also thrilled to announce that our current graduate actor, Eva Seymour will be joining the ensemble again in 2017. We’ve loved working with her so much this year and are happy to welcome her back on board!
