VERSACE BOYS Announce their debut album

GET RICH OR CRY TRYING

Releases Friday November 8

*New Single VEGAN drops Thursday October 24*

VERSACE BOYS have signed a global record deal with Sydney based independent label ORIGiN Recordings, announcing their debut album ahead of a run of festival dates and gigs in Victoria and NSW from October through to December.

Making fun of life, VERSACE BOYS create satirical pop-hop that hits home every time. Lacing their shows with freestyle litness, they’re giving synchronised dance moves, anthemic bangers and insight into the struggles of being incredibly rich, famous, gorgeous and humble. Sounds like nothing you’ve ever heard, but if you had to make a compare…Mark Rebillet, Anderson .Paak, Remi Wolfe and Silk Sonic vibes align.

Over the past few years VERSACE BOYS have graced the stages of Splendour in the GrassParty in the Paddock, Rabbit Eats Lettuce and Strawberry Fields and have shared the stage with the likes of Flight Facilities. Over the next few months, the band will be playing landmark shows including performances at Island Vibes, Strawberry Fields and The Town Festival, a headline album launch gig at The Retreat Melbourne on 17 November and lots more (gig list below).

VERSACE BOYS is a delicious fun cake made up of two prolific music maker ingredients: Will Henderson who came home to Australia after playing up to 50 festivals a year from his Berlin base, and Coast & Ocean aka Coasty who is an enigma wrapped in an indefinable riddle, hailing from Wollongong with a history of global touring and a bag full of hip hop accolades.

Hailing from the Northern Rivers of NSW – Byron Bay, the boys have been consistently releasing music for the last few years independently with multiple tracks earning significant radio play from Triple J and other curated airwaves around the country.

These boys are more than the music, they’ve created a look and a vibe that’s seen them flush with fashun and booze brand endorsements (Carlton, Bailey Nelson, Zulu and Zephyr and a zillion others), with a Google commercial sync deal for their track ‘Nails’ about to hit screens all over the country.

“We have been asked to endorse so many alcohol brands that we realised we must be Tinfluencers,” says Will Henderson.

They might look like ‘soft boys’ at a glance, but they buck that stereotype. They take charge of the housework and look after their families, all while shooting wild music videos typifying their ‘Trashthetique’ fashun aesthetic.

Peel your eyeballs for their upcoming merch line, with Some Sunglasses and 2 kinds of hats in collaboration with Byron Bay legends Fallen Broken Street. It’s a vision of something you’d be wearing if you woke up at the tip, so in essence “we would also be binfluencers.”

They are extremely stoked to be collaborating with ORIGiN Recordings for the release of their most popular live track VEGAN releasing 24 October, and debut album GET RICH OR CRY TRYING coming in hot on November 8.

Their debut album is a result of two years working with an incredible producer from Sydney, Miggy (Day1, Jk47, Sam Fischer) and having a home studio in Mullumbimby “Soggy Bottom Studios” from which they have been creating prolifically.

A lot of the tracks came from ideas created on the spot while freestyling at local live shows, you can taste the unbridled cheekiness and juicy borderline vibes that they bring to their live shows.

“VEGAN was born out of a live freestyle at a concert at a vegan restaurant in Byron Bay. It was so catchy we started to put it into our festival shows around Australia. The song has grown its own wild and hard-hitting energy that we now use it as an encore at every show. We have had millions of fans asking when we are finally releasing it. Well, here it is,” says Will.

Coast & Ocean explains VEGAN as only he can.

“VERSACE BOYS love veganism and vegans, and we also love every single item at KFC. This song is packed with funny nutrient dense lyrics, delicious bass, tender synths and everything you need for a healthy ear diet. Enjoy the dichotomy, get some wicked wings and chuck us on your playlist.”

VEGAN is a hit track written as a tongue in cheek response to a heap of legends in their local community. The track features a driving “Cobrah” influenced beat that fills dance floors and enervates. It’s their most popular earworm and unleashes pure raucous chaos as an encore track to the boys’ epically entertaining live shows.

The fashun boys have the moves and catchy hooks to get everyone singing in and out of tune. Make no mistake, VERSACE BOYS are here to play.
