OH MAN, OH MAN, OH MAN…
Talk about a long time coming! YOU MIGHT HIT THE SUN finally return to The Retreat to do what they do best… playing The Retreat!! The band had a tumultuous 2023 culminating in the departure of their long-time (and original) drummer Franc, so the present 4-piece have enlisted a reliable gun-for-hire to make sure the beat goes on both strong and true. Their delicious fusion of 90s-esque wonder the likes of MBV, Dinosaur Jr, Swervedriver and Mercury Rev are gleefully interwoven into the band’s DNA, so if yr keen for an early weekend blast-off and comedown, this is definitely the space for you.
This experience would not be complete without post-punk legends WINTERNATIONALE… as some duos are just able to do, they knock it out of the park further than bands two or three times their size. Always an experience. Always captivating.
It has long been on the cards for these two acts to lock a gig together and now- not only is it happening, but it is happening for FREE in one of the best-vibed pubs in town.
