Having collaborated with artists such as Eric Leeds (fDeluxe, D’Angelo), Dr Fink (Prince and the Revolution), Sonny Thompson (NPG) St Paul Peterson (The Time, fDeluxe), and Tamar Davis (New Power Generation, The Voice), their 80s inspired jazz fusion and on-stage antics will leave you on a purple high.
In early 2018, Lake Minnetonka released their debut album, ‘Melbourneapolis’, which they followed up in May 2019 with ‘The Honey Garden’, an EP featuring Françoise d’Argent on vocals. The Lakers were the backing band for Ashley Tamar Davis when she toured Australia in June 2019.
Lake Minnetonka are looking forward to their third full-length release in the second half of 2024, featuring Dr Fink, st Paul Peterson, Eric Leeds, and Kellindo Parker (guitarist to Janelle Monáe and nephew to the legendary saxophonist Maceo Parker)
