DD Allen’s debut EP ‘Rebel Hero’ is now born, and marks the latest chapter in his endlessly restless, self-funded, self-releasing odyssey. The first instalment is the title and lead track, which is a cascade of nostalgic tinged indie rock ‘n’ roll that will sweep you off your feet.
‘Rebel Hero’ is a stadium built anthem that is octane fuelled and immediately demands your attention. Singalong choruses and massive guitar melodies and a full band sound, DD has really brought it all to the fore in this euphoric offering. Reminiscent of Bruce Springsteen himself, the track lends itself to those 70s fuelled days built for the romantics and rebels, whilst taking a modernised step forward in production and sonics from producer Tucker.
