WHAT’S UP WHAT’S DOWN

“Deep meaning wrapped up in feel good funk”

LABEL: BELIEVE ENTERTAINMENT

AUSSIE ARTIST

For some artists, inspiration levels are on high to make conscious music about these crazy times. Drawing inspiration from the greats like Marvin Gaye and most recently Anderson Paak, making music about the hard times but still lifting the spirit.  A fine line that De Silva has mastered with this track.

Andrew started his career with the RnB group CDB, known as one of the pioneers of RnB in Australia. Their smash hit “Lets Groove; was a favorite in CD-walkmans everywhere and won Andrew and bandmates an ARIA.

Andrew later went on to pursue a solo career which let to him take out the winning title of Australia’s Got Talent.

Being dubbed the “all-rounder” singer, musician, and producer, Andrew feels quite at home in the studio so being in lockdown has its benefits. He’s been creating a sound that will definitely bring that “feel good” vibe back into living rooms everywhere.

“This song was inspired by a quote from a great man – Ravi Zacharias.” The world can sometimes spend too much time only concerning themselves with the “Left-wing & Right-wing” we must not forget the UP and the Down. I just love this reminder that there is a higher power!  The song does have a deep meaning running through it, but it’s wrapped up in pure feel-good FUNK!
