Thirty five years ago a rag-tag bunch of folkies got together and formed a band called Things of Stone and Wood that went on to define Melbourne in the early 90s.
Off the back of their top 10 single ‘Happy Birthday Helen’, the band achieved national success, international tours, a gold album ‘The Yearning’ and even a Late Show parody, kicking off a career that would place them as one of Australia’s most loved Folk-Rock bands.
Things of Stone and Wood perform in their original line-up, celebrating their 35th Anniversary with a Cup Day matinee show at The Corner Hotel – Tuesday 5 November, playing 2 sets of their iconic songs.
Their live show has always been full of energy and passion and when the original line-up of Greg, Mikey, Tony and Justin take to the stage it’s always special. Melbourne loves TOSAW, and they showed this with the 2022 Corner show selling out before doors!
