Hi friends,

Happy Melbourne International Jazz Festival Program Announce Day!

I’ve been having a bit of downtime after a huge first half of the year which has given me time to soak in loads of live music, films and art exhibitions here in Naarm. There is so much going on! I’ve also been busy in my studio working on my next big projects. One of which I can finally share with you…

I am performing a concert as part of this year’s Melbourne International Jazz Festival at the Melbourne Recital Centre Salon. My new work for solo violin, voice and electronics is called ‘Stamina’ and it will be performed in quadraphonic surround sound. You can read more about it and book your tickets here.

I have also been working away at mixing the live recordings from my Jazzlab residency. So much good stuff to choose from! I might have to release a box set. I’ll have more news about those recordings in the very near future, but I’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who came along. It was such an exciting and invigorating run of gigs.

I also want to let you know that I’ll be releasing another new single called ‘A Cups’ on September 26th. It’s an outrageously bold prog-rock instrumental that I hope you will love as much as I loved making it. You can pre-save the track now by clicking here.

And finally, for those of you who have been asking, I am FINALLY working on booking my first tour since last year. I’m sorry I haven’t visited for so long. There’s only one of me, a limited amount of $$$, and a lot of hours of work to get around the country to play. But I’m making it happen. Promise. Dates and places will be announced very soon including dates in Sydney/Gadigal, Brisbane/Meanjin, Beechworth and hopeful a couple more places.

Thanks so much for your love and enthusiasm. And for coming out to hear live music. Check out my upcoming Naarm dates below and see you out there soon.

Love,

Xani x
