Well this is an unusual blend to say the least, they seem to have used everything except the kitchen sink, but I have it on good authority, that was used as part of the blending equipment for this Frankenstein of a wine.
In the glass the wine is a medium to dark red, that covers all the grape variety used.
However, on the nose, the blend really shines through as every grape variety is
fighting to get out of the glass and show itself.
Listed here in no particular order;
Cool stones, damp soil, white flowers, turned clotted soil, old wood, and just to top it off,
Yes, lots of red fruit along with some ripe orange lurking in the far corner of the palate.
In all honesty, it had a wonderful perfume that made you want to take sip after sip.
In the mouth, the wine was lighter than I was expecting with soft tannins and good acid.
Nevertheless, it got exciting as I started to get cherry tannins mid-palate.
The wine rounded off with fresh fruit and earthiness all on a dry finish.
The wine was very interesting to say the least.
I personally enjoyed this wine with a stunning hamburger. (Nothing wrong with that)
