Introduction

Since ages, my girlfriend and I wanted to get married because it had been a while, we were dating. We wanted to take a step forward in life. Soon after we completed our masters and made our ways to the corporate world, we decide to get married.  I still remember, it was the 1st week of March 2015, when I proposed Aimy to get married, and she said “YES.”  We had a mutual dream to own a house, and somehow in late 2019, we managed to purchase a home for after a fantastic journey of 3 years.

Frankly speaking, we had a misconception that owning a house is a big challenge. We came across a reality check that maintaining a home is more dramatic than buying a house. You must be curious about how and why it is easier to own a house than to maintain it. So owning a home is a one-time investment, whereas maintaining a house is like moping a floor with shoes on. You can take it as a warning that if you are planning to buy a house than buy an essential tool kit for your house first.

You must be thinking about what are the necessary tools, so here are some tools everyone should have:

Foldable/Adjustable Wrench

If you are not familiar with the name of a wrench, you can call it a spanner. The wrench is a tool to tighten or lose the nuts and bolts in your house. It is one of the most important and essential tools for the tool kit.

Bubble Level

In a new home, you will have to hand a lot of painting, mirrors, and whatnot. People are found irritated just because they are unable to set the frames in the exact straight position. This tool will help you with maintaining the angle of your pictures.

Screwdriver

If you visit a nearby hardware store, you will be able to see multiple types of screwdrivers. You have to select a multi-bit screwdriver. This is because a multi-bit screwdriver comes with an option to change the flathead to Phillips head, which helps in the long run in your house.

Putty Knife

This tool has been developed to perform the role of a scrapper, but most importantly, it is an amazing and comfortable tool for your tables, floors, and many others that need scrapping.

Claw Hammer

Wall hangings, wall clocks, paintings need nails on the wall. If you have a claw hammer in your tool kit, you will be able to put on the nail on the wall where ever you want, or else you need to wait for the carpenter to come and fix it.

Set Of Pliers

Pliers have always been in use not only by hardware shop owners but by almost everyone around us for bending wires, gripping nuts, and other works. These tools are the best tools to cut and peal wires.

Utility Knife

It is the tool that comes with a lot of options. Some of the essential possibilities are cork opener, a flat head screwdriver, and many more.

Caulking Gun

One of the most neglected but essential tools for your house is a caulking gun as it has its work. If your window caulk is misplaced and needs replacement, you will have a tool to do it.

Cordless Drill

It has the fame of being the most used tool of the tool kit. From driving bolts in the wall to hanging a TV on the wall, this tool will be a lifesaver for you.

Measuring Tape

If you add on a digital measuring tape in your tools, your tool kit will be ready with the necessary and essential tools for your house maintenance.

Conclusion

The tools, as mentioned earlier, may not satisfy all your needs and wants, and we do not claim that these are the only tool required by the house owners, but if you do have these essential tools, most of your small household needs are satisfied within no time. All you need to do is, stay safe, and use these tools wisely.
