With more and more people today travelling and doing business in other countries, it is quite common to have the need for quick cash to be sent to you. Alternatively, you might need to send some cash in a hurry overseas for family members or friends. No matter what the reason might be, you need to know that there are options available to you that will get this done for you quickly and effectively. There are actually quite a few services in operation around the world that might suit you. Which one you end up choosing may well boil down to where you need to send money to or where it is coming from.

Banks

Just about every locale in the world has some banks that you can make use of. Most banking institutions have the capacity to send cash overseas for you. Typically, this would need to go directly to a receiver’s bank. Depending on how you send the money, it can be done in about a day if it is not the weekend and there are no holidays taking place in either country. Sending money overseas with a bank tends to be a bit more expensive than other options.

PayPal

PayPal has become a popular choice for sending money overseas because of its ready availability in just about every country. There are also multiple ways to send cash. If the receiver also has a PayPal account, then this can be done almost instantly. PayPal can also transfer cash to a bank account in another country for a small conversion fee. The speed by which this happens depends on several variables. Of course, there are PayPal fees for using the services. Use this fees calculator to check how much final fees you should pay as a seller.

Western Union

If you want to send cash to someone in another country, Western Union has long been the gold standard. This is a service that allows that receiver to pick up the cash at multiple locations in their home city. You can also use them to send an international banktransfer. Fees will depend on how you end up sending the money in the first place.

Transfer Wise

This is a relatively new service that works by sending money from a bank account in one country to another bank account in another country. Once you are a verified customer, this can often be done in just a few hours. Depending on how you send the money, the process could take a day or two. The fees are believed to be among the lowest of any money transfer service, so that is another advantage as well.

You will want to look over each of these options and determine which one will suit you and your situation the best. The key is to balance the fees that are charged with the speed by which you need to receive the money. There are times when you may need to pay a bit more to send and receive money overseas quickly, but doing a bit of comparison shopping could save you some money in the long run.
