Made up of Kti Cruz – vocals, Mike Klyuykov – guitars, Fabien Colette – drums, and Ilia Dokshin – bass and electronics, AELEEN have a signature blend of nu-metal intensity and melodic pop-rock, crafting a track that’s both anthemic and deeply personal, celebrating individuality and embracing difference in a way that resonates across borders.
Recorded at Redbox Studios and mixed and mastered by Jorge Lopes, ‘Misfits’ fuses aggressive guitars with shimmering synth textures, underpinned by dynamic drums that snap like a heartbeat. The vocals, switching between English and French, oscillate between intimate confession and full-throttle declaration, creating a tension that mirrors the lyrical content—a call to those who’ve ever felt on the outside to take up their own space unapologetically.
The accompanying music video, filmed at Unblur Studio, is an extension of the track’s energy. Directed, shot, coloured, and edited by Alex Avelur, it features cinematic imagery that pairs perfectly with the song’s kinetic rhythms. “Misfits is about the feeling of not belonging and the restless energy that comes with it. We wanted the video to capture that raw intensity — the tension, the struggle, but also the power that comes from embracing who you are.
In the video we wanted to keep things raw and honest, without polish or distraction, to let the emotion drive everything. It’s about intensity, movement and energy — showing the struggle but also the confidence that comes from embracing who you are and not trying to fit into someone else’s frame.”
