Zeus The Prophet on Hip Hop, Faith and the Fight for Truth

Zeus The Prophet is a Melbourne-based Hip Hop artist, poet, and revolutionary storyteller whose music carries the weight of live experience and the power of spiritual awakening. Born in Beirut and raised in Melbourne, he transforms the pain of war, struggle, and displacement into lyrical truth that resonates across borders and generations. Through tracks like ‘Free Palestine’, ‘Remember Me’, ‘Hypnotica’ and ‘Let There Be Light’, Zeus crafts cinematic soundscapes infused with faith, consciousness, and unflinching messages of justice, love and divine purpose. As the founder of I.Quality Online and The Prophet’s Circle, he’s building a global movement that empowers artists, uplifts communities, and unites truth-seekers through the transformative power of music. Every verse Zeus writes is a testament to his unwavering belief that light rises from chaos, and that Hip Hop has the power to heal nations.

I recently caught up with Zeus The Prophet to talk about the spiritual fire behind his music, and why he believes Hip Hop is more than art – it’s a weapon for truth and a path to redemption.

When did you realise music was something you wanted to pursue, and what lit that spark for you?

I realised music was my calling when poetry became my only way to survive. I grew up between war zones, projects, and pain and the only thing that ever made sense was truth. Hip Hop gave me a voice when the world tried to silence me. The spark came from witnessing injustice and knowing I was chosen to speak for those who couldn’t. Every verse became a prayer, every track a message to awaken minds and heal souls. Music wasn’t just something I wanted to do, it became who I am.

If someone pressed play on your music right now, what would they hear and feel?

They’d feel power, purpose, and prophecy. My music is cinematic, it’s revolution meeting resurrection. You’ll hear pain, love, and the voice of a man who’s been through darkness and came out carrying light. The listener feels seen, awakened, and challenged to rise above fear. Whether it’s Free Palestine or Remember Me, my sound carries the soul of a prophet and the fire of the streets.

What inspires your lyrics or themes. Are they drawn from personal experience, stories, or pure imagination?

Every lyric I write is born from experience and divine inspiration. I speak from the scars of the past, the lessons of struggle, and the vision of what the world could be if we returned to truth. My pen bleeds with purpose — I write for the oppressed, the dreamers, the broken, and the believers. The Holy Word, the streets, and the cries of the people all feed into my verses. Nothing is imaginary when you live the story.

Which artists, genres, or even non-music influences have shaped your work?

Tupac was the spark that showed me rap could be revolutionary. Lauryn Hill taught me that truth has melody. Outside music, the teachings of Jesus Christ, the courage of Malcolm X, and the wisdom of Khalil Gibran shaped my heart. I blend street poetry, Middle Eastern soul, and cinematic production, that fusion is what gives my sound its spirit. I’m not chasing trends; I’m building temples out of sound.

What’s the latest chapter in your music story? What are you working on right now?

The dream is to take the message global — not just as an artist, but as a messenger. I want to perform across continents, unite voices for peace, and build a bridge between spiritual truth and hip hop culture. My goal is to license my music for films, documentaries, and protest movements around the world, real stories that matter. I’m chasing purpose, not fame. The next chapter is divine alignment — and I’m ready for it.

What’s one thing about you, as a person or artist, that your listeners might be surprised to learn?

Most people don’t know that behind the fire and intensity in my lyrics is a man who’s deeply spiritual and family-driven. I’m a husband and father first, everything I write comes from love, faith, and divine purpose. My mission through music isn’t just rebellion; it’s redemption. I pray before I write, and I ask God to use my voice to awaken souls, heal hearts, and remind people that truth and compassion can still exist in this world.
