Jason Smith is a young boy, whose mother has huddled by his side all his entire life after falling pregnant with him at the age of 17. Now, 14 years later, Jason is rebelling against his mother. Having nearly no interaction with the outside world, Jason’s next door neighbour (who is also his best – and only – friend), Amelia, introduces him to Noah Murphy. Reluctantly, Jason befriends him. Together, the two boys get into plenty of trouble, including planning a way to find Jason’s unknown father.
While Jason and Noah are busy plotting, Emma is struggling to cope with her son’s recent rebellious ways. She turns to her sister, Kelly, for advice. Kelly tells Emma to finally get back in contact with Jason’s father, which Emma is opposed to. Through the wonder that is the internet, Noah and Jason get in contact with William, convincing him to meet with the pair, but Emma finds out and tries to put a stop to it.
