London-based singer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Tommy Down continues to captivate with “Mrs Blue”, a gorgeously arranged soul-pop ballad lifted from his acclaimed 2024 album 21st Century Living.
A slow-burning ode to quiet heartache and emotional intuition, “Mrs Blue” wraps silky vocal harmonies and gently pulsing rhythm around a lush yet restrained arrangement. Drawing on the spirit of vintage soul with a modern sheen, the track pairs a soft Al Green-esque groove with glistening organ flourishes and understated percussion.
