NEXT AT THEATRE WORKS:
Formidable Writer/Director duo SUSIE DEE and PATRICIA CORNELIUS premiere their new show,
BIG HEART
6 – 24 SEPTEMBER

Punctuated by moments of catharsis and joy, BIG HEART is the story of a woman who adopts a child from each of the continents. She believes she offers the children a better life, free from poverty, war, or neglect.

Known for their multi-award winning production SHIT (2015) and a fearless approach to theatre-making, Dee and Cornelius place Australian identity at the centre of a cross-examination from all corners of the globe. It’s a show that explores the themes of multiculturalism, racism and the love between mother and child.

“I don’t understand why every theatre company in the country (and beyond) isn’t competing to get the next Patricia Cornelius and Susie Dee play.”
– Aussie Theatre Review on SHIT

BIG HEART will make an important contribution in a time when tensions are high, the world is tightening its borders, walls are being built. Confronting the fears and prejudices around Australia’s cultural identity, Dee and Cornelius ensure this will be a performance to remember.

THE BOOK OF EXODUS
PART II

The sequel to Fraught Outfit’s critically acclaimed THE BOOK OF EXODUS has entered production! Those who experienced Part I are already booking seats for what promises to be one of the most epic performances of the year. See what critics are raving about this October!

“Adena Jacobs has created a work that stuns visually, draws you into its ritual, and leaves you haunted by troubling depths. It’s one of the rare shows you wish were longer and Part Two, to premiere later this year, can’t come soon enough.” – ★★★★
CAMERON WOODHEAD, THE AGE

WIN TIX TO INFINITY BABY
AT MIFF 2017!

Kieran Culkin, Nick Offerman, Megan Mullally and Kevin Corrigan star in cult director Bob Byington’s comedic broadside on the absurdities of millennial manhood. Starring a who’s who of American indie comedy and with a delightfully offbeat script from Onur Tukel, Infinity Baby is character study, thought experiment and snark-filled treatise all in one – but always one hundred percent pure Byington.
