“The pay what you feel the show is worth,” Independent Theatre Revolution

ndependent Theatre has been and always will be tough. Especially when producing new work.

And why should an audience turn up for that?

They often don’ t know the cast, or the writer and they don’t know the play.
Reviews can help but do people read them anymore?

The play is currently being sponsored by The Victorian Seniors Festival and in 2020 it has been selected to be toured regionally by Regional Arts Victoria.  Which should mean something but let’s be honest, many of us think “if it’s new and Australian it’s probably not going to be that good.” This is one reason our films struggle too.

So with that as our Obstacle The Wolves are going to experiment.

This play already has two endings, where the audience vote for the one they want, now we offer another choice:  Should you pay to see it or not?

PAYMENT FOR THESE  SHOWS IS VOLUNTARY

But why would we do this?

Because we are confident enough to believe you will enjoy the play so much you will want to pay.

Or in other words we’re going to busk our combined talents, from acting to writing and further.

If it works we’ll do it again  in the future.

So what to pay?     Well that’s up to you.

Currently the prices are $25 and $30 so you could use that as a guide.

But then why not leave that decision until after the show.
