THE FINDERS KEEPERS MARKETS RETURN TO SYDNEY

The Finders Keepers are bringing their consciously-curated markets back to The Cutaway, Barangaroo after more than a year, for a long weekend event 29-31 July.

More than 100 small creative businesses from NSW and interstate will set up shop for the three-day market aimed to support the maker movement and conscious shopping revolution.

The Finders Keepers managing director Sarah Thornton said it was great to be able to support so many small businesses getting back on their feet.

“We’re so excited to be returning to Sydney after more than a year, offering opportunities for small businesses and shoppers alike to support local, meet makers and help these businesses thrive again,” Ms Thornton said.

“We’ll be welcoming back many NSW businesses as well as our friends from interstate in a true Finders Keepers-style reunion, and we can’t wait for Sydney-siders to bring this event to life with us.”

The Finders Keepers’ Indigenous Program is back this season, with First Nations-owned recipient Deadly Denim showing off up-cycled denim garments featuring indigenous artworks, including from Sydney artist Leona McGrath.

This event will welcome Confetti Rebels with their empowering female apparel, author of the new Sew It Yourself book DIY Daisy, alongside the return of popular Sydney-based ceramicist Bea Bellingham and the hands-on Clay Sydney.

Conscious shoppers will have to be quick to get their hands on handwoven picnic rugs made from recycled plastic bottles by FK newcomers Peek Neek, and plastic recycling and manufacturing locals Defy Design will be educating kids and adults alike on local plastic waste solutions.

Slow fashion seekers will love the fun, print-focused garments from Aussie-made newbies Jus Gudi, handmade chunky winter knits from Marikit By Kitty Choy, and Newcastle-based beloved sister label High Tea With Mrs Woo.

Local food vendors will fill shoppers’ bellies, and the bar is back with Yulli’s Brews serving up beers and their new whisky, and female-owned SIP’ER selecting her-led wines.
