Perricone grape variety is mid-weight and slightly tannic. Once again a wine I would call authentic, although not simple.
In the Mouth: Dark berries, cherry, Juicy blackcurrant, and black olives add too the crunchy grip and rustic structure of this full-flavoured wine with its red fruit and notes of dried spice. Finishing with nice weight tannins.
Elegant and sophisticated are the two words I probably would not use when describing this wine, although authentic and interesting are the descriptors that come to mind, along with exceptional value at the forefront of my mind.
This once again is a simple style of wine, although very interesting. I, however, feel it requires home cooking rather than fine dining.
I enjoyed this with a slow cooked Beef Ragu With hand made Parmesan Gnocchi from the market.
This was a real food and wine match!
