Not long to go, documentary lovers!

Sydney Film Festival kicks off this week with some of the year’s most talked about films.

Be transported to a Buenos Aires café in the award-winning documentary Le Temps Perdu, which follows a charming book club tackling Proust, and join volunteers working around the clock to rescue injured marine life in the 2021 Berlinale-selected From the Wild Sea.

Meet the remarkable Australian cinematographer Christopher Doyle (Chungking ExpressRabbit-Proof Fence) in Like the Wind, and head to Boston to see democracy in action in City Hall, from renowned documentarian Frederick Wiseman (Ex Libris: The New York Public Library, SFF 2018).

Mick created TAGG - The Alternative Gig Guide in 1979 with Helmut Katterl, the world's first real Street Magazine. He had been involved with his fathers publishing business, Toorak Times and associated publications since 1972.  Mick was also involved in Melbourne's music scene for a number of years opening venues, discovering and managing bands and providing information and support for the industry.
