Soirée for Valentines – The Lunar Year of the Horse & Peace in 2026

Celebrate love, renewal, and harmony in an intimate evening of music and cultural exchange. This special soirée brings together East and West through a refined chamber-style concert, marking Valentine’s season, the Lunar New Year of the Horse, and a shared wish for peace in 2026.

The program features a lyrical dialogue between piano, Chinese bamboo flutes, and violin, weaving together classical, contemporary, and cross-cultural works. Expressive melodies and virtuosic performances will guide the audience through moments of passion, reflection, and joy.

Featuring with surprise guest artists:

Warren Wills – Piano

Warren Wills is a master pianist renowned for his refined touch and lyrical sensitivity. A versatile collaborator, he brings depth, balance, and emotional clarity to classical, contemporary, and cross-genre performances.

Stephanie Chen – Chinese Bamboo Flutes

Stephanie Chen is a Melbourne-based Chinese bamboo flute (dizi) performer trained at the Central Conservatory of Music, Beijing. Her expressive playing blends traditional Chinese musical heritage with Western and contemporary influences, creating vivid cross-cultural musical storytelling.

Romy Geermans – Violin

Romy Geermans is a violinist recognised for her warm tone and elegant musical expression. With a strong classical foundation, she adds grace, intensity, and emotional colour to chamber and ensemble performances.

Hosted in the elegant private residence of Andrea and Philip Bliss OAM, this evening promises a warm, immersive musical experience in a setting that encourages connection, listening, and celebration.

He had been involved with his fathers publishing business, Toorak Times and associated publications since 1972. Mick was also involved in Melbourne's music scene for a number of years opening venues, discovering and managing bands and providing information and support for the industry.Mick has also created a number of local festivals and is involved in not for profit and supporting local charities.
