Stand-up comic and popular podcaster Shane Gillis has today announced that he will embark on his first-ever Australian tour this August.

The five-city tour will start in Brisbane on Thursday 4 August, before heading to Sydney, Adelaide, Perth, and Melbourne.

Based out of New York City, Shane Gillis was named an “Up Next” Comic at Comedy Central’s 2019 Clusterfest in San Francisco and a “New Face” at the prestigious Just For Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal.

Winner of Philly’s Funniest at Helium Comedy Festival in 2016, Gillis is one half of Matt and Shane’s Secret Podcast and a regular guest on several popular podcasts. He is also a regular guest of Sirius XM’s The Bonfire and Spotify’s The Joe Rogan Experience.

Shane has written for Comedy Central’s Delco Proper and starred in and cowrote for Tires Etc and New Muscle. Recently, Shane co-created, wrote and starred in the YouTube sketch series Gilly & Keeves and last year released his debut comedy special, Shane Gillis: Live in Austin on YouTube which has over four million views and instantly became a favourite amongst his peers and comedy fans alike.

He had been involved with his fathers publishing business, Toorak Times and associated publications since 1972.  Mick was also involved in Melbourne's music scene for a number of years opening venues, discovering and managing bands and providing information and support for the industry.
