Friday nights concert started on time and was fairly well attended. The Pianist welcomed guests with pleasantries, introduced his string section comprising of 5 female violinists and a male cellist, and began to play.

As Richard Clayderman played Chariots of fire several guests moved on to closer seats. He then played a series of his favourite Ennio Morricone themes. He played The Eagles-Desperado, Elton John-sorry is the hardest word, Air Supply-I’m not in love, Mamas and the Papas-California dreaming and even played Katy Perry. He then played a film score from a Chinese film which greatly pleased the entire audience.

More of the great theme songs of film followed with classics like Star Wars, Pride and Prejudice, Mission Impossible, Theme song from Secret Garden, James Bond, Shane, Indiana Jones, Capone, Leon: The Professional, Pirates of the Caribbean, Bodyguard, Living in America and a medley of songs from Paris such as the Can Can. The concert ended at that point Richard Clayderman received applause and he did not perform an encore. A brilliant musician with a wonderful sense of fun. Most Enjoyable.
