Renzaglia Nuovo di Renzo O’Connell NSW 2022

$35.00
A blend of 4 red grapes and 1 white. Sangiovese, Graciano, Vermentino, Cabernet and Tempranillo.
In the glass, the wine was a darkish red/ruby colour.
On the nose there were hints of red berries, obviously, however, I found strawberry hints and sour cherries that stand out the rest was a mix of earthy wafts and a little barnyard.
Followed by palate cleansing acid and dry dusty tannins that filled the mouth.
I enjoyed this wine with thick pan-fried beef burgers with onions. It’s not fine dining but it worked a treat and the juice from the meat and onions was a perfect foil for the wine.
Whatever was going on in the glass I found it to be a little old world and different enough to catch my attention. Once again at $35.00, this wine is a bargain not to be missed.

the Rot has set in.

Some good wines come from this NSW producer.
A wine-growing area I haven’t paid much attention to before, until today!
