JAZZ :  John Montesante Dectet – From Blue Note to Bebop…A Galaxy of Stars

A rare & special Jazz Event on Wednesday, MARCH 28 is coming to stylish Bird's Basement in the CBD, at 7.30pm.
 
The cream of Australian Jazz Musicians (including other band leaders), under the leadership of arranger-horn player, 
John Montesante, will perform in his quality Dectet, playing familiar and less heard works "From BLUE NOTE to BEBOP". 

Featuring the versatile and exceptional talents of  leading lady, Alinta Chidzey and pianist-singer, Craig Schneider with 
the cream of Melbourne jazz: James Sherlock,  Niko Schauble, Philip Rex, Tony Hicks, Mirko Guerrini, Tim Wilson, Mick Fraser, 
Andrew Serpell and John Montesante.

The John Montesante Dectet performs Jazz for those who savour undiluted virtuosity, outstanding soloists and big horn arrangements.

Come out for a jazz show like no other, with a 10 piece band recreating great tunes from Art Blakey, to Helen Merrill, 
to classic songs of Mark Murphy and more.
