Pockets Sports director Arthur Titus today met with Hon. Ros Spence Minister of Community Sport and MP Josh Bull to discuss the topic CUE SPORTS future in Australia.
Arthur had been very persistent to talk with the pair for over 8 months now and is glad the meeting finally happened “I must admit I was very annoying, I’d call the office a couple times a week and send numerous emails”
After the meeting both the Minister and MP said they were so glad to meet and learn about the growing industry and Pockets involvement.
Arthur’s presentation involved:
- The move away from the stigma of pool only being a “pub” sport
- The benefits pool has on members of the community
- Cue sports in schools, disability centres, rehabilitation centres, community centres and academy programs for Juniors.
There is so much positive around the future of the industry and Pockets is honoured to now undertake dealings with the Victorian government directly to gain support to help the sport grow at community grass root levels.
As a result of the meeting Hon. Ros Spence and MP Josh Bull will be now working with Arthur Titus to find ways to enhance the industry at community levels.
