GRANTS & FUNDING

$1 MILLION CONTEMPORARY MUSIC FUND GRANT PROGRAM
The $1 million Contemporary Music Fund Grant Program is now accepting applications for grants up to $15,000. Grants are available to assist WA artists and music industry professionals with the costs of producing and promoting their work. WOMEN NATION FUND
The Women Nation Fund is a global, early-stage fund investing in female-founded live music businesses.  Its purpose is to provide access to capital for underrepresented female entrepreneurs in the Concert Promotions, Events and Festival space. Businesses will be evaluated by a team of International Live Nation female executives with domain expertise across promotion, booking, technology, ticketing and PR/marketing.

PPCA PERFORMERS’ TRUST FOUNDATION
The PPCA Performers’ Trust Foundation provides grants to promote and encourage music and the music-related performing arts. The grants provided are non-recurring (i.e. one-off grants rather than a periodical payment) and are determined by the four trustees of the trust. A grant under the PPCA Performers’ Trust Foundation can be used for costs associated with: Tuition fees; Travel costs (hire, airfares, petrol); Accommodation; Venue hire/ PA hire.

CONTEMPORARY MUSIC TOURING PROGRAM
The Contemporary Music Touring Program (CMTP) 
supports national touring activity undertaken by Australian musicians performing original contemporary music. It provides travel support of up to $15,000 for artists and their manager for tours in Australia that include performances in regional and remote areas. More info: HERE

ARIA-PPCA-AUSTRALIA COUNCIL FIRST NATIONA SOUND RECORDING PARTNERSHIP
The Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) in partnership with the Phonographic Performance Company of Australia (PPCA) and the Australia Council for the Arts will deliver a grant partnership, the ARIA-PPCA-Australia Council First Nations Sound Recording Partnership. More info: HERE

ARTS ORGANISATIONS INVESTMENT PROGRAM
The Arts Organisations Investment Program from the WA Government Department of Local Government, Sports and Cultural Industries (DLGSC) is an open and competitive multiyear funding program to support Western Australia’s arts, cultural and creative sector organisations. More Info: HERE

ARTS U-15K GRANT PROGRAM
The WA State Department of Local Government, Sports and Cultural Industrie’s Arts U-15k grant program offers up to $15,000 for artists and creative industry professionals to deliver a one-off project or a program of activity. The program supports the development and growth of a vibrant sector that promotes the participation and active engagement of Western Australian communities in high quality arts and cultural experiences. CREATIVE COMMUNITIES COVID-19 RECOVERY PROGRAM
Funding from DLGSC and Lotterywest for artist-in-residence projects that engage communities and are delivered in partnership with artists and either a local government authority, local school, or community group. More info: HERE

TOUR COORDINATOR – CIRCUTWEST
CircuitWest seeks a self-motivated individual who can provide a tour coordination service for Western Australian artists and organisations. To this end, the role will also undertake the following functions to provide advice and support for producers and presenters to access tour funding through the Regional and Remote Touring Fund and other funding opportunities, fee for service tour management and touring advice and support for producers and presenters. The role will also undertake the work associated with a very busy, small not-for profit arts organisation, delivering two annual conferences and numerous services and projects. More info: HERE

SENIOR MUSICAL PRODUCTION DIRECTOR – PERTH COLLEGE
Perth College is seeking to appoint a Senior Musical Production Director for our 2021 Senior Musical production. This is a short-term resident Director position commencing in October 2020 until March 2021. The Senior Musical Production forms part of the School’s Performing Arts annual calendar of events and will be held towards the end of Term 1.  Lead up work will commence in October 2020 for our 2021 production.

SENIOR TECHNICIAN – MATRIX PRODUCTIONS AUSTRALIA
Matrix Productions Australia is looking for casual staff with experience, with duties including preparation, set up and operation of production equipment, and ideally candidates will have experience working with audio, lighting and AV equipment. You will also need to be able to deal directly with clients from the production meeting until the job is complete. Staging Hand duties include loading delivery and set up of staging, crowd barriers, drapes and trussing structures for anything from corporate events to concerts.

VANDA & YOUNG GLOBAL SONGWRITING COMPETITION
The Vanda & Young Global Songwriting Competition is one of the world’s most prestigious songwriting competitions. It aims to support talented songwriters while raising much-needed funds for not-for-profit organisation Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy Australia (NRMTA). Submissions close Thursday 29 October.
