The wine is matured in older French oak barriques. A barrique, a small traditional oak barrel.

In the Glass: A shimmer of Pale golden straw glows from the core of this wonderful Gippsland Chardonnay.
Nose: NWhite stone fruit with citrus, with a faint hint of the oak used in the making of yet another outstanding vintage of Lily Grace.
Resulting in a Chardonnay with a good whack of mineral and acidity that flows through to the bright clean finish on the back palate with just a touch of creaminess as you swallow the final drop.
I enjoyed this wine with a simple meal of Wandilla pork and apple sausages on a bed of buttery mashed potatoes.
The acid and minerals were the perfect foil for the pork and apple sausages.
