This Imperial Stout is as smooth a silk. Bolstered by rich dark not over sweet but there is a subtle sweetness intertwined with a smokey rum flavour come molasses/oat thing going on here from the ageing in used rum oak barrels. This stout is full on.
Please don’t over chill this beer because as it warms the flavour developed even further, showing malt, Chocolate flavours rich and silky warming on the lovely long finish. This has been the most complex and well made Imperial Stout I have drank so far this winter.
