The Boys will be performing the CD they recorded there in 2011, the last recording with Mickey Fettes on vocals before he retired from performing.

 

Madder Lake logoMadder Lake appeared on the Melbourne music scene in the early 70’s.
The band was one of the early signings to Michael Gudinski’s fledgling Mushroom records.

Madder Lake has performed concerts at all the Sunbury festivals, Myer music bowl, MCG,
The Palms, South Melbourne football ground. Melbourne show grounds, Perth entertainment centre, Queenscliff music festival and numerous venues around Australia.

Madder Lake have supported. The Rolling Stones, John Mayal, Manfred Man, ACDC supported Madder Lake in the 70’s, Queen was heckled on stage in favour of the Madders at Sunbury.

“Goodbye Lollipop” was Mushrooms first single. “Stillpoint” LP achieved gold record status.
“Butterfly Farm”LP soon followed.

The band has also released “World”, “Live at St Andrews”, The best of Madder Lake” and “the Blue room” along with various singles and You Tube features. Currently the band is recording another CD.

Madder Lake has continued thru the years, with a few changes. The main personal change, after the passing of our original vocalist Michael Fettes. Was the inclusion of Michael O’Loughlin.

The band has an extensive repertoire of original songs, which can cater for all tastes.

Mick created TAGG - The Alternative Gig Guide in 1979 with Helmut Katterl, the world's first real Street Magazine. He had been involved with his fathers publishing business, Toorak Times and associated publications since 1972.  Mick was also involved in Melbourne's music scene for a number of years opening venues, discovering and managing bands and providing information and support for the industry. Mick has also created a number of local festivals and is involved in not for profit and supporting local charities.
