Welcome to Listen To Older Voices, a program produced by Rob Greaves and podcast through the Toorak Times and Tagg” style=”3d” color=”orange”][/vc_cta][/vc_column][/vc_row]In this, the final story of the Life and Times of Lily Miller, we find her and husband Felix, in Australia living near the steel mills in Port Kembla. As part of coming to Australia post WWII, Felix had to work for a two-year contracted period in the mills.

Through Lily’s story we learn that very sadly Felix dies in a terrible accident in the steel works. Now, without a husband and with a young child Lily and with no welfare assistance Lily draws upon her inner strength and continues on.

She moves to Victoria and her life and her story take an amazing turn when through a series of amazing circumstances, she meets a doctor that has a life-changing result on her life and her future. To find out what this was and how it came about, settle back and enjoy the story of Lily Miller

I have been with the Toorak Times since April 2012. I worked as Senior Editor of the Toorak Times until 2023, when I retired. I now work as a special features contributor for both the Toorak Times and Tagg. I've been in the Australian music scene as a musician since 1964, and have worked in radio and TV and newspapers (when they were actually printed on paper) as well as working in the film industry, as the Film Unit manager on Homicide for several years. I also have extensive experience in audio production and editing.
