listen to older voices: john michael [mick] pacholli – part 1 This is a Golden Moment Repeat program that we are re-presenting for those who may have missed it the first time.

This is Part 1 of a 3-part program featuring the Life & Times of Melbourne identity and Publisher of the Toorak Times – John Michael Pacholli, known as Mick Pacholli.

Older listeners in Sydney and Melbourne may remember the Pacholli name from the 1960’s and ‘70’s when Jack Pacholli hit the headlines in both cities for his “apparent” association with underwork figures.

Mick is Jack’s son and this is his story Mick covers his very early formative years from his birth in 1955 and his incredibly unconventional upbringing.

If you watched ‘Underbelly’, then you might get an inkling into Mick’s early life!

However, what you will hear is all true, it’s not a TV script.

We follow Mick’ s amazing story from those early years, through to having to ‘escape’ to Melbourne with his family as things became a bit hot for Jack.,

Mick’s story consists of relating the strange working relationship he had with his father – Jack and, to his own upbringing.

This is the story of Mick Pacholli!
