Born Beverley Schultz in 1941, and for a variety of reasons, Bev was largely bought up by her grandmother. Desperate to become a teacher Bev works hard and excels at school but is forced by her parents to leave school at the age of 15.
Eventually Bev meets and marries John Gould and has three children and yet, she finds time to return to school not only as a mature age student, but joins a standard day-time High School class, the only adult student in a class of young people.
She matriculates and feels at least part of her life is complete.
However, Bev’s story doesn’t end there, far from it. She has a special needs daughter – Vanessa, and Bev puts aside her own aspirations to become a parent representative on various bodies within the TAFE system, where she becomes the voice for students with mild disabilities.
Her story covers her absolute love for art and we learn how she comes to own and operate a large art gallery – Tuscany galleries. This is one of many wonderful stories of parts of Bev’s life.
Sadly Bev passed away on the 7th August 2020.
