Leeds-based trio Leodis return with “Days Like These,” a stirring meditation on loss, change, and the quiet moments that pull us unexpectedly back into memory. Out now, the single marks one of the band’s most emotionally resonant releases to date — a song shaped not only by heartbreak, but by the years of distance that followed.
“Days Like These” was first written in 2021 in the wake of a long-term relationship ending. What began as a breakup song soon took on new meaning with time. “It was written as a breakup song,” lead singer Archie shares, “but after taking a few years out and coming back to it, we heard it differently. It wasn’t about heartbreak anymore. It was about loss — how the mind processes the absence of someone you love, and learning to live without them.”
Revisiting the track with fresh perspective, Leodis discovered a broader story tucked between its original lines. The song shifted from the specific pain of romantic separation to the universal ache of change: the people we lose, the versions of ourselves we outgrow, the memories that resurface without warning.
“However much time passes,” Archie adds, “there will always be days where it feels like you’re right back at square one.”
Built on the band’s signature blend of rich harmonies, soaring instrumentation, and unguarded honesty, “Days Like These” captures that emotional whiplash with clarity – the way healing rarely moves in a straight line, but instead circles back before moving forward again.
Leodis are a Leeds-based trio weaving the grit of classic rock with the soul and warmth of country-rooted storytelling. Their music thrives on heartfelt lyricism, dynamic arrangements, and a clear artistic identity that has drawn comparisons to Kings of Leon and Mumford & Sons.
With a sound that balances vulnerability with anthemic power, Leodis craft songs that land with emotional precision – songs built to be felt as much as heard.
