It’s been a busy few weeks with UNCLE VANYA rehearsals in full swing, SUNSHINE packing out houses and finalising our 2017 Season. The UNCLE VANYA cast, creatives and crew are deep in rehearsals. We’re already so excited about the work they’re creating and this special adaptation by Annie Baker. Director, Nadia Tass is no stranger to Annie Baker’s oeuvre, having directed our acclaimed productions of The Flick and The Aliens.
Baker set out to adapt this beloved classic with the “goal of creating a version that sounds to our contemporary American ears the way the play sounded to Russian ears during the play’s first productions in the provinces in 1898”.
