With VELVET PARADE touring Japan next week, we are very excited to announce PAUL KIDNEY EXPERIENCE is doing a 10-date tour of this fellow island nation soon after.

This will be a Japanese iteration of PKE featuring Japanese members such as: TABATA MITSURU (Zeni Geva / Boredoms / Acid Mothers Temple) and MASAMI KAWAGUCHI (New Rock Syndicate / Keiji Haino’s Hardi Rocks).

Before heading off, Velvet Parade play a one-off headline show at SHOTKICKERS in High Street, Thornbury THIS Saturday (17th May). This is the last time you’ll get to see Velvet Parade for a few months, and they have gotten very special guests to help send them off: post-punkers NIHL (featuring members of the late Ollie Olsen’s NO and Steve Lucas’ Bigger Than Jesus); plus the excellent Signal Chain.

Tickets are just $15 for this gig and moving!

Finally, just a reminder about the return of the Thornbury Bowls Record Fair for 2025.
This free entry event is very popular and has already attracted 100s of interested attendees online here.
The event date is Sunday 22nd June, doors at 10 am, open until 3 pm
Address: Thornbury Bowls Club, 27 Ballantyne St, Thornbury

It will be jam-packed with trusted vendors selling quality new and pre-loved vinyl, CDs, music DVDS and books. There are several first-time sellers for this particular record fair, including DJS and private collectors who are downsizing their collections, no doubt to make way for new acquisitions!
