Registrations of Interest are now open to Australian architects for the upcoming Powerhouse Ultimo Design Competition. The Design Competition is the next major step in the Powerhouse Ultimo Renewal.
The renewal will see Powerhouse Ultimo deliver dynamic applied arts and sciences programming with a focus on design and fashion, showcasing the museum’s significant collections, exclusive international exhibitions and the creation of spaces that support the creative industries.
The transformation of Powerhouse Ultimo will drive the visitor, cultural and night time economies and will include new and expanded exhibition and public spaces that will connect Powerhouse Ultimo to the Sydney CBD, exploring opportunities to re-orient the Powerhouse to the Goods Line. Powerhouse Ultimo will become a contemporary vitalising force in a vibrant, connected and activated precinct.
