Free this Friday 20 June? Join us live, and in person, at The Wheeler Centre in Narrm/Melbourne for Yarning Strong from 6:30pm.

The panel consisting of Kamilaroi/Samoan beat-mistress Becca Hatch, Wemba Wemba hip-hop artist Philly and Yorta Yorta and Wiradjuri DJ, designer and activist Sky Thomas (Soju Gang), will share a thoughtful conversation with host Baramadagal/Burramattagal man Willem Brussen on how musicians and artists stay true to their cultural identity while navigating the mainstream music industry.

They’ll open up about community, resilience and what it takes to find your voice as conversations about mental health take centre stage. Also, they’ll share personal stories about using music as a tool for self-discovery, healing and growth.

Join us for an inspiring night of community and connection – including a special performance by Philly.
