Another fabulous JAZZ THURSDAY coming up at Phamish, St Kilda on MARCH 9th featuring YVETTE JOHANSSON with Sam Anning, Michael Harding, Carlo Alberto Canevali, Mirko Guerrini + John Montesante. Yvette needs no introduction to the Melbourne scene, as a versatile and stylish jazz artist with an enviable and well-deserved reputation as one of the finest Jazz artists in town. Her influences range from Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday and Blossom Dearie, to Astrid Gilberto, Anita Baker, Doris Day and many others .

We had such a great time with WILBUR WILDE performing JAZZ with The JMQ Ensemble at Phamish, that we have invited this celebrity saxophonist and singer back on March 16.
JMQ line up of John Montesante, Michael Harding, Carlo Alberto Canevali and special guest, Sam Anning, will join Wilbur for this enjoyable evening.

We are delighted that JULIE O HARAMelbourne’s Bop, Scat and Vocalese Queen, will bring her wonderful talent, vibrant energy and wit,  to this stellar celebratory Jazz evening when we shall also be celebrating JMQ’s Double Bassist, MARK ELTON’s Birthday at Phamish Marky’s PartyWe thought it was time to honour mild-mannered MARKY, who is one of Australia’s finest – for the amazing versatility and talent he contributes to the many bands he performs,including JMQ. Everyone is invited!

Mick created TAGG - The Alternative Gig Guide in 1979 with Helmut Katterl, the world's first real Street Magazine. He had been involved with his fathers publishing business, Toorak Times and associated publications since 1972.  Mick was also involved in Melbourne's music scene for a number of years opening venues, discovering and managing bands and providing information and support for the industry. Mick has also created a number of local festivals and is involved in not for profit and supporting local charities.
