A Legacy of Jet Rock’n’Roll
Since their formation in 1987, Guitar Wolf has redefined rock music, blending surf, rockabilly, punk, and grunge into their unique “Jet Rock’n’Roll” sound. Frontman Seiji describes the style as noisy, raw, and rebellious:
“I love jet planes. I love noisy music. So… I add jet sounds. Bwaaaahng! Explosion!”
The band’s cult status is reflected in their 12-album discography, collaborations with iconic labels like Matador and Third Man Records, and their unforgettable stage presence.
Their influence extends beyond music. Guitar Wolf starred in the 1999 cult sci-fi horror film Wild Zero, which has since gained legendary status. Fans in Melbourne can enjoy a special screening of Wild Zero at Thornbury Picture House, with the band in attendance.
