James Hallorans Debutante Ball:

This Freak-Pop offering incorporating orchestral music and drag-theatre, will be a night to remember.

Vocalist James Halloran twists the carnal and the weird into his musical inventions — sensitive, aggressive, irresistible. His soaring voice commands that you hang on each creative exquisite note.

After several years of performance, experimentation, and growth, in 2016 James Halloran released his debut EP ‘HIM’. An offering of wild lyricism married to human existential crisis, HIM is a work full of rich orchestration and vocal eclecticism. This EP was met with stark acclamation, One description flatteringly comparing Halloran to Rufus Wainwright while another describing his music as”like Enya on steroids” – Higher Plain Music

Following the release of his Debut EP ‘HIM”, Brisbane artist James Halloran is set to bring the music from the EP as well as many new works, to The Butterfly Club on the 26th of March. Join James as he leaves Brisbane and enters his delusion of a new aristocratic-life in high-society Melbourne, this night of debauchery should not be missed.

The Debutante Ball is an event not to be missed. Part rock-show, part Drag-Theatre, audiences can expect lush, Celtic-influenced string arrangements, brand new material and James’ trademark theatrical flair. The venue will be totally transformed, seducing the audience to join James’ strange, other-world.

“Like Enya on Steroids” – Higher Plain Music
“Masterful Manipulation…Wonderful vocals” – Aussie Theatre
