For me December means crazy tour booking as well as finalising my record so I can start releasing early next year. What are you up to this time of year?
It’s coming up to the holidays so it’s time for me to choose a song for my annual holiday video. I’ve made Xmas/Holiday songs for the last 3 years now and it’s been a fun tradition. I’ve included a playlist of my holiday songs so far with the pictures below. If you have any suggestions for a song I should do this year I’d love to hear them!
Two weeks ago I got back from the UK where I performed at an International Secular Conference. It was incredible and very inspiring, featuring and expressing solidarity with women’s rights activists from all around the world. I was the closing act for the conference and I had planned to sing my song ‘Saved’ but during the conference I had been so inspired by the speeches of these incredible activists that I wrote a brand new song and performed it that day! You can hear the new song in a video I made for my Patreon Subscribers by clicking on the photos below.
Speaking of brand new tunes, this week I was a contestant on TopTune – a local songwriting competition in the valley where contestants are paired up to write a brand new song in 17 minutes. It was a challenge but a lot of fun. You can hear that song below as well 😀
I hope this last month of the year is a great one for you and that you have some time for yourself. I wish you a very happy holidays and I hope to see many of you in the coming year ahead.
Highlights from the month below!!
Big love,
Shelley
