The cast and creatives of Ella Hickon’s explosive play, OIL, have been breathing life into our Cromwell Road Theatre. With director Ella Caldwell at the helm, this epic work features a brilliant cast of 10 actors playing characters spanning centuries and continents. It’s a remarkable, ambitious work – an ideal way to welcome you to our new space.

And speaking of the new space…for months, the Red Stitch ensemble and staff have been hard at work, transforming this 1927 Parish Hall. We’ve ripped out seats, cleaned, painted and repaired. But the theatre needs substantial renovation to transform it into the flexible, exciting and accessible performance space we know it can be. Work will continue into 2020 as we build accessible entrances and toilets, and install heating and lighting and sound equipment, and generally give the place a new lease on life. But for this to happen, we need you.

Please help by making a donation for our fundraising appeal. For every dollar you donate between now and February, Creative Partnerships Australia will match your donation through their Plus 1 programme. To donate, click here.

OIL will be our premiere production at Cromwell Road, for directions on how to get there and where to park, click here.
