The Industrial air system market is a vast one, and there are many different options that could service your needs. A lot of the time, bespoke solutions can be specifically manufactured if a job requires more of a custom system. Below we will take a look at the capabilities of these different industrial air systems and where each type of system should be implemented.
Air Handling Units
Air handling units (AHU) are used to condition and circulate air within a building as part of a heating, ventilating and air-conditioning (HVAC) system. These units take ambient air from the outside and pass it through air filters to heat or cool it. The conditioned air then gets directed by supply air fans at the correct volume and pressure, through ducts that appear through designated areas in a building. Most AHUs also have an added duct that pulls the stale air out of the rooms and disposes it back outside. AHUs are mainly used in medium to large commercial and industrial buildings and are usually located in the basement, on the roof or on the floors of a building. Newer buildings have multiple AHUs, each supplying to different zones.
Air blow-off systems
Air blow-off systems remove extraneous matter from conveyors by using the force of air. Removing tiny particles of dust or debris that are found in hard-to-reach places such as small cracks or corners can be tricky. DRYSYS can build air blow-off systems that are specific to your production requirements and are fully automated and controlled by a central industrial control system. DRYSYS’ systems can be used in a variety of ways. Not only can they eliminate dust from sheet materials and electrical components, but they can also be used for conveyor cleaning.
De-ionising Air Systems
De-ionizing air systems rely on changing the chemical properties of ions to remove dust and particles from the air. They can also remove static electricity from plastic and other materials. In most cases, these air systems also contain a section for collecting and attracting the charged particles back to the unit. De-ionizing air systems are usually found in packaging, printing, electronic and automotive industries.
Fumes Extraction Air Systems
Fume extraction air systems are designed to capture and remove harmful vapours, gases and fumes. These systems use a fume extractor fan to pull the hazardous fumes and other particles from the air into a contained filtration system. It then passes that same air through a filter before releasing the now clean air back into the room. After being passed through this system, all the harmful fumes and particles are collected and kept within the filter. Fume extraction air systems are usually used in workplaces where welding, painting, plastering, sanding and grinding are commonplace.
