The new album from Hat Fitz & Cara ‘After The Rain’ is out now and to add to the good news, national tour dates have been announced! With shows from Bridgetown to Nimbin in January 2017, this extensive run of dates will see Hat Fitz & Cara collaborating with vocal groups along the way and bringing their unique combination of hill-style Gospel blues with old timey flavourings to big cities and rural towns across the country. What a start to the new year!

Hat Fitz & Cara’s fourth album draws from their very different backgrounds growing up in rural Australia and the streets of Belfast respectively. Engineered by Govinda Doyle, the man behind Angus & Julia Stone’s No. 1 “Big Jet Plane” and mastered by Graeme Durham (Grace Jones, Sandy Denny, The Prodigy, Seasick Steve and Kitty, Daisy & Lewis) at The Exchange in London, ‘After The Rain’ is an album with soul and stomp. Robinson’s soulful and belting vocal beautifully counteracts Fitzy’s gravelly growl and the pair drive and dance their way through the album.

“This album shows this couple at the peak of their creative powers – soaring soul vocals, visceral blues guitar, unexpected quiet, and sudden changes in feel and tempo. A masterful blend of roar and nuance.”

Michael Mackenzie – Radio National ‘Afternoons’ presenter
