Southern Italian white with a richer, almost waxy texture that’s known to be age worthy.
Only 25 dozen bottled making this wine a true small batch gem.
The Adelé range is made with Natural and Biodynamic principles. Which employs the philosophy of minimal intervention in both the vineyard and winery.
The wines are all fermented from indigenous yeasts, using skin contact and whole bunches.
No sulphur is used and the wines are 100% unfiltered.
On the nose Myer lemon wafts from the glass along with white flowers, I smell this wine and think is it a Riesling or a Pinot Gris, its hard because I don’t drink a lot of Fiano, but that is about to change for all of us now I have tasted this wine with a rather strange looking girl on the label.
Yes I know back to reality, that’s where my mind travels to when I stick my nose in the glass anyway.
It has got a couple of years age on to at any rate and I think it’s just hitting its straps. In the mouth it’s racy with lemon and lime acid cleansing the palate.
However as easy to drink by its self, there is a chalky texture and body to this clean white wine that begs for food after the first two or three glasses.
I took a bit of a risk and drank this wine with green beef curry. Truly a winner.
And it was a match made in Heaven the cleansing acid and chalky lemon character of the wine worked a treat. Truly a winner.
